I hope everyone is enjoying the summer. Nationals has moved on from Salt Creek to Lowers and competition is running through Saturday when Finals will decide our 2009 NSSA National Champions. Good Luck to all of our Southeast Surfers. So far our group of surfers attending this years Nationals had a great run and Luke Marks has made the final of the Open Mini Groms division. Good job to all of you who attended this year - and good luck Luke in the final.
The last three days of the event will be WEBCAST LIVE. Go to www.nssa.org to watch.
Compettion is at a level unseen before at the NSSA National Championships. We should all be very proud of all of our surfers.
CONTEST 1 & CONTEST 2
SOUTHEAST SEASON UPDATE:
1. UPDATE MEMBERSHIP NOW www.nssa.org, click on the icon. Membership MUST be current to enter the event.
Contest 1 and Contest 2 open and explorer divisions will both run at Sebastian Inlet in August.
High School Contest #1 will begin in September.
Here is the schedule:
August 22nd - Contest #1 Open and Explorer Back up August 29th.
August 23rd - Contest #2 Open and Explorer Back up August 30th.
DEADLINE FOR ENTRY to both events is August 14th. Entry received in the NSSA mailbox after August 14th are considered late and are subject to the late fee of $15 PER DIVISION. Protect yourself, be responsible and get those entries in on time. This will confirm a spot in the contest so you can show up to the event and surf stress free!
All entries sent in for the canceled July event have been forwarded to Contest 1. If you sent in an entry and can not make the August scheduled events, please email me directly and the entry fee will be forwarded to the September event Contest 3.
IF YOU DO NOT EMAIL ME DIRECTLY THE FEES WILL NOT BE FORWARDED.
